Maybe the "immigrants rights" groups are the ones who need to be profiled and deported!

Today, Fox News reported:

"Immigrant rights groups were planning to serve Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca with a summons seeking information about arrests in connection with the law enforcement department's partnership with immigration officials.

The National Day Labor Organizing Network, the National Immigration Law Center and the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles asked for statistics that outline the cost of participating in federal programs to the county and its taxpayers, and arrest records they say might be evidence of racial profiling."

Am I having a dream?  (Or more accurately, a nightmare?)

Were the American wars worth $4.7 trillion?

Today, MSNBC summarized a report by Brown University's Watson Institute for International Studies.

They report that the final bill for the American wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan will total between $4.7 and $5.4 trillion.  Trillion!

I'll provide my take on what MSNBC reports:

Is "Post-American World" author Fareed Zakaria a radical, or just clueless about immigration?

On June 28, CNN published an article written by Fareed Zakaria.  Zakaria is the author of the best-selling book "Post-American World".  The CNN article is titled:

"America risks losing its immigration advantage"

If you're American, it doesn't matter what your background is...if you're a knowledgeable person, and you want your country to do well, you should be horrified by the title of Zakaria's article!

How foolish is it for Zakaria to suggest that America has an immigration "advantage"?  Have you ever heard a claim that is further from the truth?

Do I have the solution for global gridlock? Let me shop this idea around...

This article is currently unpublished, because I'm shopping it around to major newspapers.

If the article is already published here, it might ruin my chances of getting published by major media!

If it turns out that no major media will publish it, I plan to publish it here!

Keep your eye out!  It's quite a clever piece of original thinking, written by the 74th smartest person in the world!

Editor's note:   The article has since been published.

New gender research backs up my claims about women!

On Wednesday, MSNBC reported the findings of a new study:

"Woolley and Malone randomly assembled 18 to 60-year-olds into teams and had them solve a complex problem. After team members brainstormed, made decisions and completed visual puzzles, they were given an intelligence score based on their performance.

Challenging a senior fellow at the CATO Institute: Legalizing marijuana may be a good move, but get your logic straight first!

On Thursday, CNBC provided an update regarding plans to introduce a bill legalizing marijuana.

Writing about Jeffrey Miron, senior lecturer in economics at Harvard University and a senior fellow at the Cato Institute, CNBC states:

"Miron estimates that the US would be around $88 billion a year better off if drugs were legalized, with $41.3 billion saved on enforcement of drug-related laws and $46.7 billion garnered in tax revenues."

I was incredulous that a senior fellow at the Cato Institute would actually make such an absurd claim!

One left wing radical disagrees with another? How often does that occur?

Regular readers of mine should have little doubt that Obama is a left wing radical. After all, my six part series extensively made that clear.

Now, is Al Gore a radical?  Well, I know he's left wing.  Yes, many left wingers are irrational, but I wouldn't assume most are radical.  Many left wingers could have good, but irrational, intentions.

Al Gore certainly may be a radical, however.  After all, a judge ruled that his movie “Inconvenient Truth” included nine significant untruths.  I find it hard to believe that a filmmaker would make so many errors, unless they were made intentionally!  So, I think it's plausible that Al Gore is a climate change radical.

If Obama and Gore are both left wing radicals, wouldn't you think they would agree on things and be nice to each other?

Challenging an employment lawyer re: the Supreme Court's WalMart decision

On Tuesday, Salon.com published commentary by Piper Hoffman, an employment lawyer, regarding the Supreme Court having squashed the WalMart class action lawsuit:

"On Monday, the Supreme Court sounded the death knell for Dukes v. Wal-Mart, the class action lawsuit accusing Wal-Mart of paying and promoting women less than similarly- or less-qualified men. "

I haven't read the entire, lengthy, forty-two page judgment.  But I can make observations about the validity of the logic Piper uses, based on the information she provides.  Right?

New York State says murderers who were busboys and nannies are more desirable than other murderers?

Before I get into the title's topic, you need a bit of context first.

A brief overview of the Secure Communities program, from the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement website:

"Secure Communities, an information sharing partnership between two federal agencies – ICE and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) – prioritizes removal resources on individuals who are found to be illegally in the country after being arrested for other crimes. "

"Only federal officers make immigration decisions, and they do so only after an individual is arrested for a criminal violation of state law, separate and apart from any violations of immigration law."

Keep this in mind while you read the following gem, published by MSNBC.

Casey Anthony trial: Is it a logical defense to invalidate something simply because it was previously "unheard of?"

Developments from the Casey Anthony trial today:

"Duct tape found on Caylee Anthony's skull was placed there after the toddler's body had decomposed, not before she died, a forensic pathologist testified Saturday as the murder trial of the girl's mother ended its fourth week on a contentious note."

"Rodriguez also said he planned to testify that a video prepared by a prosecution expert superimposing Caylee's living face with a picture of her skull and the outline of a piece of duct tape was an 'unheard of' application of technology meant only to provide initial identifications of remains."

The defense argues that the superimposition is an "unheard of" application of technology. Really?

To the wannabe flight attendant: Raise your aspirations next time!

Today it was reported:

"Federal and local authorities are investigating an apparent airline security breach after an American Eagle Airlines employee allegedly used another man's identity to get a job as a flight attendant.

Jophan Porter, 38, has been charged with six counts of identity theft and three counts of forgery among a lengthy list of other charges, according to the Miami-Dade corrections website."

My advice to Jophan is this:

Say what? How many US students did you say have an A average?

Here is one of the more shocking and unbelievable things I've ever read (Note: it was posted on MSNBC, so I suppose I shouldn't be that surprised!)  A newly released study found:

"...in 1966, only 19 percent of college students who were surveyed earned an "A" or "A-minus" average in high school, compared with 48 percent in 2009."

48% of American high school students recently earned (er, received) an A or A- average?

There is no way in hell that 48% of those students deserved those grades, for many reasons!

US allies oppose UN gay rights resolution. That's what you call governing the people!

The United Nations Human Rights Council today approved a gay rights resolution, by a slim margin of 23 to 19.

Which countries opposed the resolution?

Flashback: Was George Bush Sr. serious about his debt reduction proposal?

First, let's look at today's news, for context.  From CNN:

“'Everybody wants an agreement,' Biden told reporters after a meeting in the Capitol with the bipartisan group of lawmakers and other top Obama administration officials. 'That is sufficiently realistic to get to $4 trillion over a decade or so – in terms of reductions.'"

In light of the never-ending, seemingly annual debt and deficit talks, I did a bit of research into past debt reduction talks.

You may be surprised at what I found!

How disturbing is it that 49% of Americans approve of Obama's performance?

Fox News has just released poll results:

"All in all, 49 percent of voters approve of President Obama’s job performance and 47 percent disapprove. Last month, 49 percent approved and 44 percent disapproved."

Wow. No, let me try again. Wooooooooooow.

More Americans approve of Obama's job performance than disapprove?

More Americans approve of Obama's job performance than disapprove!

How could any American, perhaps outside of his family and friends, approve of his performance?  He's a complete disgrace!

This isn't just my opinion...it's fact! It's the only logical conclusion, and is based on overwhelming evidence!

Looking at scandals alone, how could any reasonable person approve of Obama?

California's Same-Sex Marriage Ruling Upheld: Observations By The 74th Smartest Person In The World

OK readers, the 74th smartest person in the world is now going to chime in on California's same-sex marriage debate!

Basically, a District Court Judge has just ruled in favor of same-sex marriage in California.

I'm happy with the result. I'm in favor of same-sex marriage.

However, I'm not convinced that the end result was achieved through proper process.  Let's walk through this:

Is Tim Wise an illogical, hateful person? PART THREE

About This Series Of Articles

I first became aware of Tim Wise when he was featured on CNN, where he discussed public outrage regarding an article of his.  The article is titled "An Open Letter to the White Right, On the Occasion of Your Recent, Successful Temper Tantrum".

I've since briefly reviewed his website, and have come to the conclusion that he's likely not a good person.

He never responded.
